Waka Pene Rakau

Waka Huia
Two weeks ago we went to the art museum. There we learnt about the Waka Huia. These carved cases belonged to the maori chiefs, who used to wear Huia feathers. Only the chiefs were allowed to wear them. So they made special cases for them. This is what I made, because I don't have a huia feather. (they're all extinct!) I called mine Waka Pene Rakau, to keep my pencils safe. Have you made something like this? If you have I would love to see it.

Junior Choir

Junior Choir

So, I love to sing, I love to be enthusiastic, but best of all I love to laugh! I tell you I can guarantee, that This new oppurtunity will bring a lot of laughs, and a lot of happiness for me and .... maybe not so much the conducters.

If you don't know I made it into the Junior representative choir, for 2018, and I am really looking forward to all the great opportunities that will come my way, and next year if I'm lucky I'll make it into the Senior choir. And I would hopefully have some other friends, to be there with me.

This year, 5 out of 7 poeple made it into this awesome choir, and one of them is my friend Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn is amazing at singing.  I had no doubt that she would get in, and I was right..... I wasn't so sure about me though, but I was successful in my audition and I'm excited to move forward, hopefully making friends along the way.
