1. $61 - $43 = $18           -$3  -$3     $58 - $40 = $18	1. $61 - $43 = $18       $43 = $40 + $3      $61 - $40 = $21                     $21 - $3 = $18
2. $83 - $48 = $35         +$2  +$2   $85 -  $50 = $35	2. $83 - $48 = $35                                                            -$8 -$8      $75 -  $40 = $35
